Engagement Ring Sizing
Resizing Your Engagement Ring Made Easy
There are many women in the country who’ve never gone shopping for a new ring. Because of this, there’s a sizeable contingent of fiancées-to-be who can only shrug when it comes to the prospect of what their ring size is. There’s an even larger group of men who aren’t sure what their partners’ ring sizes are. It’s an important thing to know what one’s ring size is—particularly when it comes to engagement rings! Since a woman will be wearing that ring daily, she’ll quickly become irritated by a ring that’s digging into her finger or, maybe more dangerously, falling off her finger. How can a person quickly find out an engagement ring size?Finding the Right Fit
The first answer is the easiest: Come into Rumanoff’s Jewelry today, and our team can find your ring size in a matter of moments! However, there are a few scenarios when that’s not the best answer. For instance, if driving to our Hamden showroom is a prohibitive event that’s reserved for rare occasions, you’ll need to measure at home first. We suggest taking a length of string and wrapping it gently around a woman’s finger, marking where the string crosses over. You should do this several times, since heat and water retention can change a finger size. If a woman has a large knuckle, it’s prudent to add a half size to the measurement. If you’re looking to surprise your partner with a proposal, there are two options on the table. You may want to take an imprint of one of your partner’s current rings in a soft substance like soap, since our team at Rumanoff’s Jewelry can measure it in the store. Alternatively, if you’re confident that your partner won’t miss a given ring from her jewelry box, you might opt to temporarily borrow it to bring it to our showroom. Just make sure that if you take this route, you don’t lose that measurement piece!
